Splitsville Luxury Lanes and Dinner Lounge To open In Arlington

ARLINGTON, February 10th, 2009 - Dining, dancing...bowling? The classic American image of bowling is being reinvented with the opening of Florida based Splitsville Luxury Lanes and Dinner Lounge in Arlington ,Texas in the Arlington Highlands development on March 5, 2009. Featuring a contemporary design, a full-scale restaurant and bar, and offering the world's only permanent outdoor bowling lane on their patio, Splitsville caters to the fun loving Texan. A preferred location for everything from children's birthday parties to high-end corporate, sporting, and celebrity events. Splitsville brings new meaning to the word bowling.
"We're excited to open our doors in Arlington and to the entire Ft Worth and Dallas community," said Guy Revelle, co-founder of Splitsville. "From bowling and dinner to drinks, dancing, and music, Splitsville gives people permission to have fun, with or without picking up a ball," Revelle continued, "and Arlington Highlands, a new and exciting venue in itself, seemed the perfect fit for this innovative concept."
Featuring a gourmet menu created by Tim Cushman, one of Food & Wine magazine's 2008 "Best New Chefs", and a sushi and champagne bar inspired by Kamehachi, a third generation sushi house from Chicago, Splitsville has assembled a team that is reinventing late night social gathering in America.
Splitsville features a sophisticated menu that puts a spin on bowling alley cuisine. Options include Ville Plates such as gourmet sliders of Tuna steak or slow roasted filet; fresh rolled sushi; hand tossed pizzas, and signature entrees including hand-cut Filet Mignon, Grilled Mahi Mahi with Voodoo Shrimp and our variety of fajitas; Jerk Chicken, Marinated Steak or Cowboy Prime Rib all served with our pepper trio, sautéed onions, fresh mango salsa, or homemade habanero sauce.
"People love to bowl, but many don't enjoy a ‘traditional' bowling alley or its offerings beyond the lanes," said Mark Gibson, co-founder of Splitsville. "We believed that a concept centered on bowling but with a greatly improved atmosphere, and upscale food, beverages, and service, would result in a surprising destination for people to meet and have a good time together."
"One of Splitsville's differentiating features is its innovative interior design," said Revelle. "The lanes are built in clusters, which create unique lines of sight and allow guests to view bowling from new angles and perspectives. Plush booths and custom banquettes make for cozy nooks intimate enough for a quiet evening with someone special, while the bars and dance floors make it a hot spot for a night out with
friends."
Arlington Splitsville is proud to have the World's First permanent Outdoor Bowling Lane. Yes, you heard right! John Berglund, Executive Director of BPAA (Bowling Proprietors' Association of America) states, "We can't begin to tell you how excited we are Splitsville offers an outdoor bowling lane! An outdoor lane will not only appeal to bowling enthusiasts alike; but also create new interest to the sport of bowling. The BPAA, also located in Arlington, Texas believes the outdoor bowling lane will be a great asset complimenting the BPAA and the United States Bowling Congress who recently located to Arlington, Texas. Splitsville's outdoor lane is surrounded by premium patio seating with a spectacular view of the Arlington Highlands. When the temperature begins to drop, the patio also offers fire pits; ensuring a great time for conversation while sipping hot toddies.
